Nicky’s Cafe, a popular family restaurant in Regina has opened their second location in Emerald Park.
“We are a well-established restaurant and it was something we always talked about,” says Perry Makris, one-half owner of Nicky’s Cafe. “Everyone was asking about an east end location and quite a few of our customers are from the Balgonie, Emerald Park and White City. The more we talked about it, the more it made sense.”
The new space is conveniently located next to the RCMP dispatch.
“Our menu will offer some new items but still contain some of our very popular family favourites,” say Makris. “We hope to see you all out there soon!”
Nicky’s Cafe is a family affair. From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel like a guest in our home. Nick and John Makris founded this charming restaurant more than 30 years ago. Nick’s son, Perry, and co-owner Kevin now carry on the tasty tradition.
Why is our food so good? Let’s start with our homemade burgers. We use only the finest and freshest ingredients available to mankind. The patty consists of fresh lean Canada Choice beef, ground by us, carefully charbroiled formaximum juiciness and flavour. And you get half a pound! (We’re pretty proud of our buns, too.)
We support local suppliers whenever we can and you can taste the difference. Our potatoes come from farms near Craven. We also serve our specially selected smoked bacon thickly sliced right here every morning. And old-fashioned Canadian maple-flavoured ham — always fresh baked, not pressed.
Perhaps our biggest claim to fame is our Lentil Soup. We’ve served over 3 million bowls to people from all over the country! We even invite you to take a crack at making it at home — the recipe is available in the restaurant.
After all, you’re practically family!
